Once again the golfers were throwing darts in Orlando as many of them had a high amount of birdies today. 8 birdies and a bogey free round is what Jason Dillard of Cullman, AL did today as he shot a 64 today. The Hooters Pro Tour stops in Orlando, Fl this week at Stoneybrook East GC. The field consists of 131 players and as usual there will be a cut to the top 40 scores plus ties after tomorrow’s round. Despite making bogey on the final hole of the week, Nashville’s Luke List 68-66-68 (-14)holds off Drew Lethem 69-65-69(-13)to win this week’s Hooters Pro Tour Event in Tavares. Luke made birdie on half of his holes today but gave back five of them by doubling 10 and making three other bogeys and finishing with a 68 (-4). The field of 128 is now down to 43 golfers at Deer Island CC in Tavares, Florida and there is a log jam at the top with only 2 shots separating the top 5 golfers. Stop three of The Hooters Pro Tour lands in Tavares, Florida at the Deer Island CC. The top 10 members at season’s end will earn full exempt status for the 2010 Hooters Pro Series with their membership fee waived. Joe Affrunti after his 2nd place finish a week ago is now leading the winter tour but will not be playing this week at Deer Island CC. The final day at the North Shore GC had a three way tie for the lead with last weeks winner Joe Affrunti (-11) trying to go back to back after his playoff win a week ago. Affrunti had another chance for a playoff today but fell short by making bogey on the 18th hole opening the door for this weeks winner, Garrett Jones. No rest for the weary as Matt Parziale and Jim Renner get right back to work today on the Hooters Pro Tour after a week of emotions during their Q-School run just 6 days ago. This weeks event brings Matt to Orlando at the North Shore GC where 130 golfers will make a run for the top prize in the 6900 yard course.
