With an impressive 8 models to choose from, it would be hard for any Ping fan not to find a putter in the i-series. The two-piece insert gives you the firm response with a softer feel to you putts. The alignment technology on this series is also impressive giving you a greater MOI. Prices range from $119-$149 leaving something for everyone.
The Karsten series features a steel face with an insert feel to it. I love this series for your average golfer with 6 models, 4 different shaft lengths and retailing for $89 , how can you go wrong. The upgraded Craz-E model is very well balanced and has excellent alignment features. The heavy large head guides itself. The Craz-E retails for around $119.
This putter offers 8 shaft lengths and 9 customized weight options which probably makes it the most versatile putter on the market today. The Craz-E comes from the factory with two 12-gram stainless steel sole weights and a two-piece 304 stainless steel elastometer insert. Additional weights are available for an additional cost. I am not “craz-e” about all the options and extra cost that goes with this putter. Putting is in your head to begin with, why give your head options. Pick a putter and stick with it. the iWi-series putters range from $89-199.
This special edition putter is a must for the true Ping fan. These putters are made out of manganese bronze material giving itself a classic clean look. Available in theAnser, B60 and Zing models. I think Ping totally undersold themselves with this series selling it for only $109.
According to Ping the G5i-series putters are about 10% more forgiving than their other putters. Ping also improved the alignment features with a ball-width crescent top rail. After talking to several golfers and trying this series out, there is really no preference either way. This is truly a neutral love or hate type putter.
This series comes in three models, the Anser, Piper and ZB. If you love control in your putter , this is the putter for you. The Redwood series seems to work best on quicker greens, I wouldn’t recommend these putters if you play slow greens on a regular basis. Great looks do not come cheap with a retail around $249.
