_Media Card_BlackBerry_pictures_IMG00244As Predicted tough weather conditions came into play at Brockton Country Club as very high winds and scattered downpours reeked havoc on the 75 golfers today.  There was about a twenty minute rain delay late in the day with only five groups left on the course.

The buzz in the clubhouse is that the  extremely fast greens were too tough to handle. Club Pro Jim Falco said he thought the greens were rolling around a ten on the stimp meter but I can tell you first hand they were faster than that. Steve Tasho was quoted ” it was f’#@#$ miserable out there”.

Someone must have pissed in grounds keeper, Justin Bousquet’s corn flakes this morning because the speed of the greens were not the only problem. The pin placements were another major factor. Players that play here everyday were even surprised with some of the pin locations. I herd one player sayif Mike Calef who shoots under par here almost everyday shoots 76, the course is playing tough”.

Although it seemed like everybody played terrible, there was some players that managed to overcome the elements. Dave Tasho shot even par to lead the seeded division and in the field, Jeff Cavicchi shot a 75 (+3). Overall there was only 19 players that shot in the 70′s.

The Open switches venues tomorrow to DW  Field and once again, rain is in the forecast.
