Sink the Putts is following 3 of the qualifying courses to keep up with the golfers that are often mentioned on Sink the Putts. Three Massachusetts natives started this weeks event and just one will be playing in the six day final at Bear Lakes CC. The field played 4 rounds this week and each course had a pre- determined amount of players that will advance to the finals December 2-7 at Bear Lakes CC.

Callaway Gardens – Pine Mountain, GA
Kevin Kisner of Aiken,SC went wire to wire with scores like 64-67-66-66, there is not a doubt at 25 under that he would win the event. Kisner’s closest competitor Scott Brown was 7 shots back. The top 20 moved on with the cut score of -8
T4thJoe Affrunti 68-69-69-68 (-14) did what he had to do today, stay steady and move on. Affrunti has missed the last 2 Hooters events and will be missing another one the first week in December as he moves on the finals at Bear Lakes CC. Although he has missed the last couple of weeks, Affrunti remains at the top of the money list
T13thRob Oppenheim 68-73- 66-71(-10) had bogey free front nine with a couple of birdies but stumbled a bit on the back side making just one birdie before making 2 bogeys including one on 18. That didn’t make a difference as the Andover resident was the only player from Massachusetts to make it to the Q-School finals on December 2.
