Ty Tryon of Orlando,Florida made his PGA debut at the young age of 16 when he played in the Honda Classic in 2002. After making only 4 out of 17 cuts in 2003, Ty eventually went back to the Nationwide Tour.

Last year Tryon once again went through Q-School and had a disastrous third qualifying round as he posted an 87. Often criticized for jumping on tour too young, Tryon has not given up as he is once again making a run at the big show.

After a solid round yesterday with a 71(-1), Ty left his critics speechless as he “schooled” the 7000+ yard Grasslands CC with a remarkable 62 (-10) today making ten birdies and 8 pars. I have spent much of the afternoon researching if this is any kind of course and or Q-School record and have not found anything to date but I am sure he didn’t set any records, Ty is very close to them.

Tyron was not the only player lighting up the course today. Anthony Broussard of Beaumont, TX who is currently 2 shots behind Tyron made 6 birdies and an eagle to shoot 64 (-8). George Zolatas of Ipswich, Ma made some noise of his own also shooting a very impressive 64(-8) today making 8 birdies and 10 pars which moved George from 51st to a tie for 9th. Yesterdays leader Jim Renner had 6 birdies and 4 bogeys for a 70 (-2) as he is currently tied for 7th.

Matt Parziale who was tied with George and Scott Hawley in 51st yesterday shot even par (72)sliding to 52nd holding at +3. Matt figured out how to make birdies today with 6 of them but gave back all the shots with 2 bogeys and 2 doubles  including a 7 on the par 5 18th hole. Hawley moved up to 43rd with his 69(-3) today. The cut line is currently -3 with two rounds to go. Parziale will tee off at 9:36 on Thursday.
